MILLENNIAL

This short film is about the experience of being a millennial in the 21st century. The generation raised to believe we could be the heroes of a brighter future. Those who grew up with promises of global unity and global solutions, only to find a world fractured by rising costs, unstable economies, and shifting societal expectations. MILLENNIAL is a reflection of this dissonance, capturing the shared frustrations and existential crises that define our time.

We are the generation that stepped into a workforce that wasn’t ready for us. We’re told to dream big, but many of us can’t afford basic necessities like housing. The world we were prepared for by our parents no longer exists, and the one we live in now feels increasingly chaotic. In MILLENNIAL, each visual metaphor and each frame, is designed to encapsulate a shared emotion, feeling, or experience: the anxiety of becoming an adult while enduring the struggle to find meaning.
